2025.10.09 Professor Kanaya from Kyushu University Visits the Taiwan-Japan Exchange Office

   Professor KANAYA Haruichi from Kyushu University visited the Taiwan-Japan Exchange Office at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) today and met with Ph.D. students from Kyushu University who are currently conducting research at a joint laboratory between the two universities.

  Professor Kanaya is a leading expert in semiconductor circuit design. He emphasized that nurturing fabless companies—specialized design firms—is essential for the revival of Japan’s semiconductor industry. As a key figure in human resource development in this field, Professor Kanaya is working to strengthen academic and research collaboration with NYCU, with the goal of establishing a joint laboratory focused on semiconductor circuit research.

   This visit further deepens the cooperative relationship between Kyushu University and NYCU, paving the way for enhanced collaboration in semiconductor research and talent cultivation between Japan and Taiwan.

2025.10.09 九州大学・金谷教授が台日交流室を訪問

      本日、九州大学の金谷晴一教授が國立陽明交通大学の台日交流室を訪問され、現在、九州大学と本学の共同研究室に滞在して研究を進めている博士課程学生と面談されました。

     金谷教授は、半導体回路設計の第一人者であり、日本の半導体産業復活のためには「ファブレス企業（設計専門企業）」の育成が不可欠であると強調されています。教授はその人材育成において重要な役割を担っており、今後、本学との連携をさらに強化し、半導体回路分野におけるジョイントラボ（共同研究室）の設立を目指しています。

     今回の訪問を通じて、両大学の研究協力関係が一層深まり、日台間の半導体研究および人材育成の推進が期待されます。
