2024.10.23 Japan’s Tohoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry Visits NYCU for Industry-Academia-Government Dialogue

On October 23, 2024, representatives from Japan’s Tohoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry (Tohoku METI) visited NYCU for a productive exchange with the TJEO.

During the meeting, the TJEO introduced NYCU’s key role in supporting Taiwan’s semiconductor industry and shared insights into the innovation ecosystem of Hsinchu. The discussion highlighted how NYCU serves as a central hub connecting academia, industry, and government in driving technological advancement.

The Tohoku METI delegation introduced their newly established T-Seeds initiative—a cross-sector collaboration platform for talent cultivation and supply chain development in the semiconductor and electronic device sectors. They expressed interest in drawing on NYCU’s ecosystem and institutional framework as a reference for shaping their own collaborative efforts.

東北経済産業局が陽明交通大学を訪問し、台日交流推進室と意見交換を行いました。

台日交流推進室からは、陽明交通大学が台湾の半導体産業を支えている背景とその要因や、新竹のエコシステムについて紹介を行いました。

東北経済産業局からは同局が半導体・電子デバイス関連の人材育成やサプライチェーンの強化に向けて立ち上げた産学官連携組織T-Seedsの紹介などがあり、陽明交通大学の仕組みも参考にしながら事業を進めていく旨の発言がありました。
