2024.11.22 NYCU and Tohoku University Renew Partnership MOU for Future Innovation
To renew inter-university MOU and the joint laboratory framework—and to discuss future collaborations—President TOMINAGA Teiji of Tohoku University led a delegation of 12 members, accompanied by two senior officials from the Economic Affairs Bureau of City of Sendai, on a visit to NYCU.
Following a welcome reception at the Liujia (Hakka) Campus, the delegation toured NYCU’s world-leading semiconductor research laboratories, as well as its biomedical research facilities at the Bo’ai Campus.
At the Guangfu Campus, a formal signing ceremony was held to update the existing MOU. The event was attended by NYCU President LIN Chi-Hung, university representatives, alumni associations, and corporate partners. Vice Minister JAN Fang-Guan of Taiwan’s National Development Council was also present to witness the signing. The renewed MOU include new provisions focused on co-creation through industry-academia collaboration between the two universities.
During the ceremony, both sides reflected on nearly 20 years of joint research and academic exchange. A presentation was also delivered outlining NYCU’s upcoming visit to Tohoku University in December, where further discussions on collaborative research and joint presentations will take place—signaling an even deeper partnership going forward.

2024年11月22日 東北大訪問 東北大学の皆さんが陽明交通大学を訪問しました
大学間協定及びジョイントラボに関する協定の更新と、今後の連携に向けた協議を目的に、東北大学から冨永総長をはじめとする12名、仙台市経済局長ら2名が陽明交通大学を訪問しました。
訪問団一行は、客家キャンパスでのレセプションの後、陽明交通大学が世界をリードする半導体関連の研究室の視察に加え、博愛キャンパスのバイオメディカルに関する施設の視察も行いました。
光復キャンパスで行われた協定書の更新式では、陽明交通大学の林学長をはじめとする学内関係者や、OB会組織、関連企業の皆さんも参加し、国家発展委員会の詹方冠副主任委員の立ち合いのもと、協定書に署名がなされました。今回の協定書の更新では、両大学による産学連携を通じた共創に取り組んでいくことなどが新たな項目として追加されました。
更新式では、両大学による約20年間にわたる共同研究等の交流に関するプレゼンがあったほか、12月に陽明交通大学が東北大学を訪問し、共同研究に関する議論や、研究発表を行うことについてプレゼンがあり、両大学の交流がますます深めていくことが確認されました。
