2026.10.28 Inspiring the Next Generation: Kuwana High School Students Share Heartwarming Tales from Taiwan Semiconductor Camp

  On October 28, a special reporting session was hosted by the Mayor of Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture, highlighting the incredible journey of local Kuwana High School students who participated in the summer camp at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) in Taiwan.
  The Kuwana area is a thriving hub for major semiconductor industries, including giants like UMC, Kioxia, and Denso. Recognizing this unique regional strength, the Mayor has been actively pursuing strategic partnerships with NYCU. Driven by the Mayor’s strong leadership and vision, the city successfully sponsored and dispatched these bright high school students to the advanced summer program this year.
  Professor Miyake from Mie University, who attended the presentation, shared a truly heartwarming observation: “The students from Kuwana High School approached this experience with such pure, wide-eyed enthusiasm. It was deeply moving to hear them report just how profoundly touched and inspired they were by everything they encountered.”

  10月28日、三重県桑名市長の主催による特別報告会が開催され、国立陽明交通大学（NYCU）のサマーキャンプに参加した桑名高校の生徒たちによる素晴らしい体験が紹介されました。

  桑名地域は、UMC、キオクシア、デンソーといった巨大企業が集積する、半導体産業の一大拠点として発展しています。市長はこの地域独自の強みを活かし、NYCUとの戦略的パートナーシップを積極的に推進してきました。市長の強力なリーダーシップとビジョンのもと、市は今年、優秀な高校生たちを資金面で支援し、この高度なサマープログラムへ派遣することに成功しました。
