  While Taiwan leads the world in the semiconductor industry, Japan’s presence continues to diminish. What reforms are necessary for Japan to once again drive global innovation？This article re-examines the true definition of “advanced talent” and discusses the process of building a sustainable society that generates innovation by combining individuals possessing “independence and self-respect” with a “co-creation ecosystem.” Furthermore, through a comparative analysis of the educational and talent ecosystems in Taiwan and Japan, the article proposes concrete structural reforms that Japan must undertake.
